Synopsis
On trial for murder, Joe Arnold is acquitted when a masked lady, the wife of Prosecuting Attorney Marshall, who was with him the night the murder occurred (during Mardi Gras festivities), risks her reputation and her husband's position by testifying in Arnold's behalf. Arnold is freed, and Marshall resigns his office, realizing that his wife's misconduct is a reflection of his own neglect.
