Synopsis
Tom Creighton, one of New York's idle rich, inherits his uncle's ranch and goes West, determined to become a cowboy. Upon arriving at the ranch, he finds himself embroiled in the feud in which his uncle lost his life. Two factions are fighting for control, one led by Lawhorn, out to abolish lawlessness, the other led by "Wild Bill" Devlin, a believer in the free range. Tom refuses to take sides but falls in love with Devlin's daughter Blue Bonnet. Learning that his daughter has spent the night with Tom, Devlin, unaware of their love affair, forces a shotgun wedding and gives the Easterner until noon to get out of town. A fence-busting raid follows in which Lawhorn tells Tom that Devlin shot his uncle, but Tom remains unmoved until Lawhorn's wife Ruth accuses Tom of being a yellow dog. Enraged, Tom goes to the saloon and, as noon approaches, waits for Devlin to appear. Meanwhile, Blue Bonnet rushes in and pleads with her father to save the man she loves. As the clock strikes twelve, the saloon door opens and a gun barrel sticks out. Tom flinches and waits for Devlin to shoot, but instead, Blue Bonnet runs out with the happy news that the feud has been settled and peace will follow on "Honeymoon Ranch."
