Synopsis
Laura Elliot, a department store clerk, meets James Lacey, son of the storeowner. Mistaking him for a chauffeur, she hires Lacey to help impress her visiting relatives. Lacey, amused by the situation, takes Laura and her relatives to his father's mansion and pretends that she is mistress of the household and he the servant. Lacey, Sr., arrives and is arrested for snooping around the house. The following morning finds affairs righted when Laura and James announce their engagement.
