Synopsis
Filmed during the spring and summer of 1967, this documentary looks at the hippie lifestyle in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district; at Strawberry Fields, a country estate; and in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Venice, Ojai, and Tujunga. Included in the footage are scenes of love-ins; discotheques; "crash pads"; body painting; pot and LSD use; weddings and mock funeral ceremonies; country communes; peace demonstrations; and interviews with hippies who explain their aims and philosophy.
