Brief Synopsis

Sheriff is aided by Laramie (Jones) who pretends to be an outlaw to infiltrate a gang of bootleggers. Laramie is attracted to Ellen, who is trying to activate an old mine. He helps her with the mine and captures the bootleggers.

Synopsis

Laramie, a cowpuncher, wins the confidence of the sheriff when he rescues him from two crooks. In town, he becomes involved with a gang of bootleggers; and after meeting Ellen Wade, who is trying to reactivate an abandoned mine, Laramie decides to stay. Though he joins with the gang, he is actually working for the town authorities. Sensing imminent capture by the local posse, the gang escape from the dancehall, but with Laramie's help they are captured; he is elected sheriff and wins the girl.
