Synopsis
Crando, who lives like a feudal monarch in a walled castle amid the hills of Baja California, believes himself destined to be an emperor, but to the annoyance of Li Fung, his prime minister, and Bandini, a border bandit, he hesitates because of his love for Hilma Allis, who hates Crando as much as her sister, Amy, loves him. Hilma gives aid to the Dragon, actually Captain Brandt of the United States Army, but Crando and Bandini, learning that the Dragon is a government spy, try to poison him. He is revived by Hilma, and his cavalry troops arrive from the hills and storm the castle. Brandt finds Crando dead by his own hand and rescues Hilma from the clutches of the desperadoes.
