Synopsis

Billy Garford, a happy-go-lucky cowboy, loses at the gaming table most of the $500 lent him by rancher J. D. Starbuck and invests $50 for a grubstake with Jimmie Breeze, an old prospector. Billy hires himself out to Starbuck and becomes infatuated with his daughter, Ollie, but is fired when his courtship is discovered. Jimmie returns with a big strike and with Billy buys out a local banker. Billy hires Ollie as secretary, though this riles Harvey Grey, the cashier who considers himself engaged to her. Grey robs the bank, but Billy is suspected on the basis of numerous IOU's. While Billy pursues Grey, Ollie has inadvertently been locked in the bank vault; Billy returns with the money and rescues her.
