Synopsis
At the engagement party of Mary Travis and Tom Sinclair, Tom's cousin, Boris Morton, facing exposure for the theft of a necklace, shoots Tom's father. Tom unconsciously casts suspicion on Mary's father, at whose feet the weapon is found; and Travis is convicted and sentenced to die. Although she has broken their engagement, Mary seeks Tom's aid in saving her father; they induce Morton to accompany Mary to the scene of the crime; and when he attempts to retrieve his gloves from a vase, he is arrested by waiting detectives. Travis is saved from the electric chair, and Mary and Tom are reconciled.
