Synopsis
Roddy Dunton and Dick Chappel, friends and officers in the British Army during the World War, both fall in love with Violet Deering, a heartless flirt. When she jilts Roddy in favor of Dick, Roddy becomes insane with jealous rage and sends Dick to a post in the trenches that means almost certain death. Dick manages to escape with his life, but he is blinded; and Roddy, in a fit of remorse, kills himself. After the war, Dick is jilted by Violet, and he falls in love with Rod's sister, Tessie. Dick's sight is restored, and he marries the faithful and loving Tessie.
