Synopsis
Dick Hemper, son of a millionaire lumberman, becomes listless because of enforced idleness in attending his sick father. The family doctor suggests that an actress friend impersonate a lady in distress, thus awakening Dick's interest. Dick overhears the plot, and when Nan Cosgrove, whose father owns property on Hemper land, tells him that Bronson, the foreman, is trying to cheat her father, Dick dismisses her as an imposter; but nevertheless he goes to the lumber country with her. Bronson, who wants Cosgrove to sign over the deed on his property, has Dick, then also Cosgrove, kidnaped. After a series of thrilling stunts, Dick finds Cosgrove bound and gagged in a boat, and he rescues Nan from Bronson's advances. Dick and Nan get married.
