Synopsis

David Noel, a waif of the streets, vows eternal love to the little rich girl who gives him her beautiful white shoes upon observing the nakedness of his own feet in the bitter cold of winter. With new hope for a better life in his heart, he gains her promise of marriage if he can become worthy. Fifteen years later, David returns from South America, a man of international fame. The one vision that has inspired him to his greatness is to return to the little girl of the shoes. After an almost futile search, he finds Rosiland and discovers that after her father lost his money, he and Rosiland became poverty stricken. Rosiland receives her reward for her impulsive kindness as a child when she wins David's love and the means to care for her father.
