Synopsis

Jenny Riano, an orphan, lives with her grandmother in a summer resort town. To support herself, she weaves rugs to sell to the tourists while practicing the violin and dreaming of a concert career. Jenny falls in love with Royal Renshaw, but his wealthy parents, Aaron and Sophia Shuttles, plan to use their son to ascend to the upperclass by marrying him to debutante Jolanda Van Mater. When the Shuttles discover that their son has married Jenny, they immediately annul the marriage and send him away on a cruise. Upon his return, Royal searches in vain for Jenny, then despondently marries Jolanda who has become a dope fiend. Meanwhile, Jenny has moved to New York and made her debut as a concert violinist. One day Jolanda and Royal are involved in an auto accident. Jolanda is killed and Royal is taken to the hospital, near death and calling for Jenny. To save their son's life, his parents relent and send for the girl, who sacrifices her career to sustain the man she loves.
