Synopsis
Mary Flynn is raised by her foster father Sid to believe that robbing the rich is a commendable means of earning a living. While on the job, the pair are apprehended by detective Gifford Cannon and, although Mary manages to escape, she finds herself captivated by the detective. Fleeing to New York, Mary decides to reform and takes refuge in a packing box in a lumber yard where she shines shoes for a living. One day she discovers an abandoned baby, and having always wanted a child, decides to keep it. Eventually the baby's parents trace it to Mary, but they are so enchanted by their child's guardian that they decide to adopt her. All ends happily for Mary when she renews her acquaintance with Cannon, and the two fall in love.
