Synopsis

After discovering that an eastern syndicate had swindled them out of options on their cattle, Arizona ranchmen choose Buck Lindsay to travel to New York and straighten things out. He goes to syndicate head Casper Whitford, who, ignorant of the swindle, sides with Buck in trying to corner crooked Clarendon Bromfield. Buck falls in love with Whitford's daughter Beatrice, but when he saves Kitty Mason, a western girl he met on the train, from being imprisoned in a brothel and brings her to his apartment, Beatrice misunderstands. She accepts Bromfield's proposal and does not see her mistake until Buck saves Kitty again. When Bromfield and gangster Jerry Durand attempt to frame Buck with a murder, Buck is arrested. Bailed out by Whitford, Buck succeeds in preventing Bromfield from delivering the option papers on time, and when an informer turns in Bromfield and Durand, Buck and Beatrice marry.
