Synopsis

Jim Flannagan, a two-fisted, hard-fighting Irishman, returns from the war to White Cloud, a railroad junction high in the Sierras, and is put in charge of a wrecking crew. He becomes fascinated with Daisy, soubrette of a traveling theatrical troupe, and she accepts his offer of marriage. Although she is a good cook and housekeeper, her free and easy ways arouse Jim's suspicious jealousy; when he fights with Louie, manager of the show troupe, Daisy leaves him. Jim takes to drinking and misses a call to clear a wreck, and he is discharged. Then Regan, a friend, sends for Daisy, and she returns with their child, a baby girl; although overjoyed, Jim's old jealous doubt returns, and, her pride offended, Daisy returns to the city. Her train collides with a fast freight, and against orders Jim joins the crew and retrieves the miraculously unharmed Daisy from the wreck. They are thus reunited.
