Synopsis
Playboy Barry Wilson, an American of Greek ancestry, believes that he will inherit a hamburger sauce empire from his late uncle. Learning that the recipe for the sauce died with the uncle, Barry's only inherited asset is the Greek island of Eftihia. Arriving there with his hypochondriac lawyer Richard Caraway, Barry tries to sell the island as a potential tourist attraction to Pastrudis, a Greek hotel millionaire. Local schoolteacher Aliki and her mother, Anna, scheme to keep the island from being sold. Charmed into sampling one of Anna's dishes, Caraway realizes that she has the recipe for the special hamburger sauce which can make him rich and save the island from the onslaught of tourists.
