Synopsis

Alice travels to Paris in order to meet little Madeleine. Upon arriving, she encounters a mouse who claims to be the great-grandson of Anatole, the famous cheese-testing mouse of Paris. The mouse gives Alice some magic cheese, and she shrinks to a small size. She accompanies the mouse on a tour of Paris and listens to him relate the story of Anatole. The mouse leads Alice to Madeleine, who is attempting to reform a naughty boy. Next, Alice meets a young prince who frowns so much that he fears it will become permanent, but the frown is removed by a smiling princess. A piece of fragrant cheese causes Alice to dream that she is Princess Lenore, the princess who pines away for the moon. Later, Alice joins Madeleine again, and they visit a Gypsy carnival. Alice eats more magic cheese, returns to her normal size, and leaves Paris for home.
