Synopsis

Rosamond Gilbert, a lonely orphan, possesses little but her vivid imagination until her uncle leaves her a small fortune. With her inheritance, she adopts Allie, a little waif, purchases a bungalow, and sets up a fortune-telling establishment intended to make dreams come true. Her first client, Sydney Brown, confesses that she would rather be a man, so Rosamond dresses her in man's clothing. In this disguise, Sydney befriends James Mattison, who admits that he could marry a woman with Sydney's qualities. Sydney finally lets down her disguise and becomes engaged to James. Next, Rosamond leads the wealthy John Squire astray with her advice that he invest in the business dealings of Jerrold, a swindler. Squire discovers Jerrold's dishonesty in time, however, and not only forgives Rosamond, but asks for her hand in marriage.
