Synopsis
In an effort to report to his father's office on the B & R Railroad, Ted Lanning covers 50 miles in 50 minutes via a freight car that ends with a wild crash that loses him his job and his fiancée. Later, Ted is held up in the freight yard by some yeggs who throw him into the river. Making his way on foot to a mining town, Ted goes to Molly Crane's lunchroom, saves her from the unwelcome attentions of Big Ed Holden, and discovers a clue to the railroad robberies. He obtains an incriminating telegram, and Holden's men kidnap him. Molly frees him, and they go after the bandits. Holden warns Ted of trouble on the main line, and Ted prevents the Limited from being wrecked.
