Synopsis
One-time bootblack Mark Horn becomes a Wall Street millionaire but still carries a grudge against the rich. After forcing his way into society, he brings the wealthy Wayne Madison to the verge of financial ruin, agreeing to save him only if Wayne lets Mark marry his daughter Viva. Wayne gives in and Viva reluctantly accepts the engagement, but calls it off when Mark boasts that he has "bought" her. Having lost Viva, Mark realizes the extent of his boorish behavior, and so salvages Wayne's teetering financial empire and then apologizes to Viva, who finally agrees to marry him.
