Synopsis
Nora Carrigan lives in a New York tenement with her parents and younger brother Reddy. She marries Dan Murdock, a young politician who is running against ward boss Devlin, but because he is away from home so often, Nora incorrectly assumes that he is having an affair with political aide Kate Corcoran. She leaves Dan, after which Stone, an artist, hires Nora as a model, and through him she meets a motion picture magnate who offers her an important film role. The film is such a success that Nora is offered a contract at a new California studio and a proposal of marriage from the Earl of Barchester. Before she accepts either offer, however, she decides to visit Dan, who has become a well-known lawyer and the district's political boss. Realizing that she still loves her husband, Nora sacrifices her career and is reunited with him.
