Synopsis
Wealthy young Martin Cavendish, whose mother wants him to marry Lady Gordon, is in love with Betty, his mother's secretary. One night, while reading about the Age of Chivalry, he is knocked unconscious by a burglar. In a dream he finds himself in sixth century England and is taken to the castle of King Arthur. His use of American slang complicates matters. Merlin, the king's magician, suggests that he be burned at the stake, but he escapes death by accurately predicting an eclipse of the sun. Martin is knighted as Sir Boss and proceeds to provide the castle with the latest improvements: telephones, plumbing, and automobiles. After rescuing a damsel from the wicked Queen Morgan le Fay, Martin accepts a challenge from Sir Sagramore in a tournament in which he is victorious with his lariat. He awakens from his trance, and elopes with his mother's secretary.
