Synopsis

Patricia Steele, madcap daughter of a millionaire, is ordered to college by her father as an alternative to marrying G. Horace Crumbleigh. Pursued by Steele and Crumbleigh, she leaps onto a float of bathing girls in a competition and when adjudged winner is compelled to appear in a department store window with football hero Jimmy Baxter, who persuades her to go to college. Knowing that Jimmy is working his way, Pat gets a job as a waitress. She repulses the advances of Piggy Fordyce, a rich loafer engaged to Iris Vale, the dean's secretary; Fordyce cheats on an examination but casts suspicion on Jimmy, causing him to be barred from a game. Pat is locked in the dormitory for betting on the team but escapes and, to clear Jimmy, says she is the guilty one. Bumper forces a confession from Iris and Fordyce, and Pat is happily reconciled with Jimmy.
