Synopsis
Two thieves, a man and his wife, decide to go straight for the sake of their children. The husband, believing that criminal tendencies are inherited, feels that the effort is useless, but he agrees to refrain from stealing, at least until the children prove themselves to be innately dishonest. He resists the final temptation to hurl himself back into a life of crime when he discovers that his daughter, who, he thought, had stolen some money, actually received it from her fiancé to pay off the mortgage on her parents' house.
