Synopsis

A female commander of a slave ship discovers that the man responsible for her suffering is a Louisiana planter named La Farge. Under the pretext of selling him slaves, she lures La Farge to her cabin and tells him the story of a woman whose husband shanghais her to a hell ship and has her child killed in her presence. She tortures La Farge and abandons to her drunken crew a young girl he has brought aboard. When La Farge tells her that the girl is her daughter, The Devil Skipper pulls her away from a Greek sailor who has fought for her. Dying from a stab wound inflicted by the Greek, The Devil Skipper has her husband and daughter led safely ashore, and she collapses in the arms of her loyal first mate. He puts her in her bunk and goes to kill the Greek.
