Synopsis

Deuce Remsen, a mine guard, is found dead, evidently from a rattlesnake bite, but a message indicates he was murdered by "Twin Hand," a notorious bandit who, because of a nervous condition, must use both hands together; furthermore, Twin Hand has robbed the bullion vault. Deuce's twin brother, Ace, determines to avenge Deuce's death, and a small clue leads him to Gaileyville, where he meets Merrill, a town girl, and Max Crew, a local politician who wants to marry her. Under an alias, Ace gets work as a cowpuncher and suspects Crew because he always keeps his hands in his pockets, while Crew notes Ace's resemblance to Deuce and orders his men to get him. Merrill, riding out to see Ace with Bill Briggs, an orphan friend, stalls the men's attempt to lure Ace into a trap. Ace, by a ruse making them follow him, captures them. After employing a rattlesnake to force a confession from Crew, Ace is united with Merrill.
