Synopsis

Every Wednesday in the lower part of New York City, impoverished people of noble birth who are working at humble occupations gather at the home of the Duchess of Camelford, better known as Deborah the dressmaker. Among them is Lord Eric Temple (Tommy Trotter), a chauffeur who is in love with Lady Jane Thorne (Miss Emsdale), a governess employed by the Smith-Parvis family. When Stuyvesant, their son, makes a pass at Miss Emsdale, Lord Eric comes to her rescue and accidently injures him. For revenge, he plants marked money on Trotter, who is arrested but released in time to prevent Stuyvesant from kidnapping Miss Emsdale. When their royal lineage is revealed, they marry and Lord Eric is appointed to a diplomatic post.
