Synopsis

Billy Halen, foreman of Pop Tully's Peaceful Valley Ranch, is popular at the town dances until he is infected by poison ivy, but he is miraculously cured by mud from a marsh, reputed to be of medicinal value. As it also improves his looks, all the cowpunchers indulge in treatments before departing for the Saturday-night dance. Millionaire druggist Jasper Thornby, his daughter, Dorothy, and his private secretary, James Gordon, stop at the local hotel; and seeing possibilities in this mud, Thornby offers to buy the ranch. When thwarted by Billy, he buys up the mortgage, ordering Tully to pay or get out. Gordon plots to kidnap Billy, but Dorothy, overhearing the plot, follows and releases him. Billy gives a demonstration for a beauty expert and with advanced royalties is able to save the property.
