Synopsis
When lumberman Lem Hardy falls in love with Evie Colby, the owner's daughter, superintendent Harry Blake, who also loves her, trumps up a payroll robbery charge against Lem in order to get him thrown in jail. In prison, Lem finds religion and becomes a minister, and upon his release he goes to a small Western town where Evie and Harry, long since married, also live. In a drunken rage, Harry tries to murder Evie, but is himself killed. Then, after hearing Lem preach about Mary Magdalene, Evie decides to make some changes in her life, which has been less than scrupulous since her marriage. Even after the sermon, Lem continues as Evie's inspiration, when the minister and his newly found disciple decide to get married.
