Synopsis

Madame Dufrane, a poor Parisian woman, pleads with a judge to spare her son, but he nonetheless sentences the boy to jail, where he dies. Vowing revenge, Madame Dufrane kidnaps the judge's young daughter Julie and raises her as an apache, teaching her to survive by stealing. Julie eventually rebels against this lifestyle and runs away when she falls in love with young artist Jimmie Parker, but the apaches locate Julie and abduct her. Madame Dufrane orders Julie killed, but the artist follows the apaches and rescues her with help from Julie's father, who has finally located his daughter thanks to the efforts of Julie's childhood nurse. Julie is restored to her father, who accepts Jimmie as Julie's beloved.
