Synopsis
Polly, the daughter of Davy Crockett, has been reared by an Indian woman in Tennessee. The woman's son Neshoba is secretly in love with Polly, who has only sisterly feelings toward him, while Rosebud, an Indian girl, is in love with Neshoba. An unscrupulous trader named Prewitt exploits Rosebud's jealousy of Polly in his scheme to seize the frontier settlers' land. At Prewitt's urging, Rosebud organizes a band of Indians, who launch a violent attack on the settlers. After Neshoba's mother is killed in a raid, another trader, Catawampus Jones, arrives with a memento for Polly from her late father, as well as the latest in firearms. While Catawampus is accompanying Polly and Neshoba to the settlement, they are attacked by Indians and Neshoba is killed. Polly and Rosebud fight. Polly wins but spares Rosebud's life, earning her gratitude. At the settlement, a fight breaks out between Catawampus and one of Prewitt's henchmen. Prewitt is about to shoot Catawampus when Rosebud shoots him with an arrow. Polly and Catawampus plan a future together.
