Synopsis

Freed from prison after serving a two-year sentence, Roger Moran, a member of Mike Wilson's bank of thieves, resolves to go straight. His sweetheart, Betty Palmer, also a member of the gang, refuses to give up "the false road," and so Roger leaves her and finds a job with kindhearted banker Joshua Starbuck. One day, Betty and Frisco Minnie appear and abscond with the contents of the bank's safe. Roger, intent on recovering the money, follows them to New York and pretends that he wants to return to a life of crime. Roger's abrupt turnabout forces Betty to realize the error of her ways, and together the two rob Wilson of the bank money and return it to the Starbucks. Confessing their deed, the two are acquitted of the crime and face a happy life together.
