Synopsis
The beautiful and cultured Lady Diana Whitney marries Captain Maxwell of the British Army. When he is transferred to the Sahara, life at his remote post becomes one trial after another for Diana. Then Larry Trent, a young lieutenant, arrives to provide a pleasant reminder of days past, but Maxwell, in a jealous rage over their innocent companionship, sends Trent to a distant village. Moreover, fearing the attentions being paid his wife by Lieutenant Kellogg, he assigns Kellogg a torturous desert patrol. Larry finds Kellogg suffering from sunstroke and brings him to the post; he persuades Diana to elope with him, but she repents her action and returns to her husband. Larry shoots Kellogg to preserve the girl's honor and is sentenced to prison. Diana returns to London, divorces Maxwell, and marries Sir Sydney, a former suitor, who obtains a pardon for Larry.
