Synopsis
Montgomery Wilson Fitzsmith, a roaming cowboy, wanders into Desert Valley and finds the ranchers are losing their cattle because Jefferson Hoades has cornered the water supply. He saves some cattle on the Dean ranch from dying, and there he is jailed for stealing some pie from a windowsill. Fitzsmith escapes and goes into the desert where he again encounters Mildred Dean, the rancher's daughter, whom he saves from the advances of a water profiteer. He learns that Dean is accused of breaking the pipeline and is being tried for the offense; returning to town, he tells the true story, and a chase ensues. Fitzsmith bests Hoades in a fight, and the ranchers drive the villain from the land.
