Synopsis
Belgrano, "the Washington of the Argentine," leads his people in open revolt against the Spanish, directing an ill-trained and poorly equipped army to victory after victory against the Loyalist forces. Belgrano's sweetheart, Monica, who is the daughter of a loyalist, secretly sends valuable information to Belgrano until she is exposed as a spy and sentenced to be beheaded. Belgrano rides to her rescue at the head of his gaucho cavalry and saves her from the ax. After the revolution, Belgrano and Monica are married.
