Synopsis
When Margaret Jarnette confronts her husband, Victor, with his infidelity, he is enraged and has his lawyer construct his will so that his brother, Richard, will be declared guardian of his (Victor's) daughter, Muriel, in case of his death. Victor is killed, and Richard, ignorant of his brother's true character and believing Margaret to be guilty of the murder, takes Muriel into his home. When the truth is revealed to Richard and Victor's murderer makes a deathbed confession, Richard comes to understand the situation and marries Margaret.
