Synopsis

Documentary about the disastrous Randall's Island rock festival of 1970. The festival was picketed by twenty-one radical political groups who demanded that the counterculture get some of the profits from the event. Groups that protested included the White Panthers and the Weather Underground, and the Black Panthers's demands included bail for one of their jailed members and 10,000 free tickets. These demonstrations resulted in the festival being overrun by gate-crashers, and many of the performers refusing to play.
