Synopsis

John Field, a government surveyor, suspects that Nanette, known at Fort Frayne as the "daughter of the Sioux," is giving information about the fort's defenses to the Indians. Eagle Wing, a renegade, incites the Sioux to attack a number of isolated settlers, and John rides after him, bringing him back to the fort. An old scout recognizes Nanette, apparently an Indian squaw, as a white child stolen long ago by the Sioux. Nanette admits this truth and further reveals that Eagle Wing is, in actuality, the son of Big Bill Hay. John, who has fallen in love with the dark-browed Nanette, declares his love for her.
