Synopsis

Zita, a beautiful spy for the Sultan of Morocco, is commissioned to obtain military secrets from the French troops, and the Sultan cleverly arranges a meeting of Zita and Col. Pierre Gautier. The meeting leads to their marriage, and this alliance enables Zita to gain valuable information, which she transmits through her maid, an accomplice. Shortly after the wedding, Colonel Gautier is called to Paris, and Zita follows by boat to join him in France, where she meets Jean La Coste, an internationally famous violinist, and they fall desperately in love. In Paris, Zita is shocked to learn that Jean is Pierre's younger brother, and both despair over the situation. When they are surprised in a compromising situation by Pierre, Jean is sent to join the army in Morocco. Finding her love for Jean hopeless, Zita frames him as a spy, but Jean's confession of love prompts her to admit her guilt; the reunited brothers witness her execution.
