Synopsis

Toni Wilde, a timid, convent-bred young woman, is crushed when she learns that Rolin Van D'Arcy, a playboy whom she had allowed to embrace and kiss her, is not the marrying kind. Still angry with Rolin, Toni marries Samuel Dodge, and although she soon comes to love her husband, she flirts with Rolin in order to humiliate him. To get even, Rolin invites Samuel to a play he is staging at his home. After the husband has been seated in the front row, Rolin tells Toni that the play is an enactment of her amorous adventures, making it appear that she is intentionally deceiving her husband. Toni frantically awaits Samuel's return home, but is relieved to learn that, exhausted from his day's work, he slept through the play.
