Synopsis

Roberta Carruthers comes to live in America after her father, Captain Carruthers, is killed in France. Since her uncle, who is supposed to take care of her, expected a nephew, Roberta dons male clothing and, going by the name of Bob, becomes a translator for state governor William Falkner. As Bob, she captures a number of German spies, after which she reveals her true identity. The governor, who had met and fallen in love with Roberta, proposes, and she accepts.
