Synopsis

The perpetrator of a series of robberies in Monte Carlo leaves his calling card, on which a black spider is drawn, at the scene of each robbery. Suspects include Irene Carfour and Archie Lowndes, who is in love with Angela Brentwood, although her guardians, the Carfours, insist that she marry one Beauvais. Charming but muddleheaded Reggie Cosway maintains that he can solve the mystery and accuses Archie of the latest theft. Angela defends Archie, explaining that she took the necklace as a joke. Cosway then accuses Angela, but a detective arrives with Beauvais, who confesses to the crimes--thus freeing Angela to marry Archie.
