Synopsis

Reporter Harvey Pearson becomes infatuated with cabaret dancer Neva Sacon. While showing Neva through Chinatown, Harvey pins a flower on her lapel that, unknown to him, is the symbol of a Tong. When Neva is spirited away by a member of a rival Tong and the efforts of the police to find her prove fruitless, Harvey turns to Charley Sing whom Harvey helped clear of a murder charge when he was writing an exposé of Chinatown. With Sing's help, they call at the opium den of Ah Wong and kidnap Tea Rose, a member of the Tong which is holding Neva prisoner. An exchange is then made between the two women, and Neva returns safely to Harvey.
