Synopsis

After 10 years of marriage, Ralph Hedman takes his wife, Alice, and his comfortable home for granted; and when Gerald, his brother, introduces him to Lillian Loring, Ralph accepts an invitation to attend a party at her apartment, though Alice is unable to attend. Alice's suspicions are aroused when she later finds him lunching with Lillian; consequently, she rearranges their bedroom; but refusing to divorce him, she gives him a year to make up his mind. Caught up in the constant whirl of Lillian's social set, Ralph becomes ill, and when the crisis passes, Alice invites Lillian to stay with them until his recovery is complete. Lillian introduces a jazz treatment of the patient (dancing the Charleston and playing the saxophone), and at last Alice is compelled to admit defeat. Ralph then leaves home in disgust, but when their cars accidentally collide, Alice and Ralph are brought to a mutual reconciliation.
