Synopsis

Gerry Lansing, a wealthy young aristocrat, following a series of misunderstandings, deserts his wife, Alix, whom he believes to have eloped with his friend Alan Wayne, and sails for South America, leaving no trace of his whereabouts. There, as a plantation owner, he becomes involved with Margarita, a Spanish girl whom he marries. A great flood destroys his plantation and drowns Margarita, just as Alan, himself stricken with jungle fever, finds Gerry. From Alan he learns that his wife was blameless and is awaiting his return home, where she has given birth to his son.
