Synopsis

An Arabian desert bandit, Kali, attacks a British camp and kills Colonel Alastair-Ker and his wife, sparing their small daughter on the condition that one day he be given the chance to claim her in marriage. The child, now called Naida, has grown up, believing herself to be an Arab. Her foster father, Jaradi, uses his cafe in Cairo as a cover for political activities. When Kali visits Jaradi to plot a revolt, he sees Nadia and declares he will soon have her for a wife. A confidential document that the natives wish to obtain has been entrusted to an American soldier of fortune, Barry Braxton, and Naida is commissioned by Kali to procure it. She takes it from Barry's room but, having fallen in love with him, she does not give it to Kali. Kali then demands her in marriage, and Naida goes into the customary seclusion, sending for Barry in order to return the document to him. Kali discovers Barry in Naida's quarters and orders him to be bound and thrown into the Nile. Naida rescues Barry and then is forced to fight Kali, who is about to kill her when he is himself killed by Jaradi. Barry and Naida are married and return to England.
