Synopsis

Nell Gordon, the daughter of a reformed burglar, is persuaded by her father's old gang to rob the bank in the town of Wheaton in order to procure funds for the ailing old man. Hired as a stenographer, Nell learns the combination to the safe but resolves not to go through with the plan when she falls in love with bank cashier Jim Brooks. The crooks try to pressure her father into writing a letter urging her to complete the job, but he refuses and is shot for his obstinacy. When Nell learns this, she agrees to help the robbers, and while they are opening the safe, she sounds the alarm which brings the sheriff. After the crooks are safely locked away in jail, Nell and Jim decide to get married.
