Synopsis

Lillian Drake, a Broadway cafe hostess, is a well-known figure with many suitors, including Creighton Howard, wealthy man-about-town, and a country boy, Frank Thompson. Frank becomes infatuated with her, and in spite of his mother's objections he marries her. Lily gives up her work and plans to lead a quiet life, but Frank begins drinking and encourages her to return to her former life, which she does. Collapsing on the dance floor, she is rescued by Creighton, who then is shot at by Frank. Later, at his home, Creighton introduces the girl to his mother as his fiancée.
