Synopsis

Carslake, a millionaire airplane manufacturer, his daughter, Marion, and her fiancé are on a hunting party in the North. There they meet Neeka, a half-breed girl who saves Carslake from the wrath of her grandfather, who recognizes him as the betrayer of her mother. Unaware that she is actually his daughter, Carslake adopts the girl and takes her to California. Otto Kraus, Carslake's competitor in a trans-Pacific flight, enlists Neeka's sympathies for his efforts when she and Marion quarrel over social blunders, and he obtains the secret of a "solidified gasoline," which Carslake himself has gained fraudulently from a demented inventor. The inventor's mind is restored when a hangar is set afire, and Neeka, realizing she has been duped, rescues him. Carslake's pilot is injured, but Neeka aids her sweetheart, a blinded aviator; Kraus is defeated in the competition and drowns after a fight with Neeka.
