Synopsis

Cuthebert Trotman, an absent-minded college student known as "the girl dodger," is evicted from his room and moves into Harry Travistock's home. When Harry receives word that he must meet his mother and his fiancée Anita Graham at a dinner, Cuthebert agrees to take Harry's place with chorus girl Pinkie le Rue. Anita arrives instead of Pinkie, and Cuthebert, pretending to be Harry and not knowing of the substitution, tells her that he is only attracted to his fiancée's money. Anita and Cuthebert are attracted to each other. Cuthebert later realizes the mistaken identity when he goes to the theater to find Pinkie. Anita anonymously invites Cuthebert to a hotel dance where he loses his pants, is misapprehended as a burglar, fights with Harry, and wins Anita's love.
